Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth was the first to be certified Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission in Fort Worth. The Center is dedicated to providing comprehensive stroke treatment services and educational programs outlining stroke prevention, warning signs, causes and treatment options. Support groups provide emotional support to stroke victims and their families.

The orthopedics program at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth began in 1930 and was the first in Texas to be recognized for achieving excellence in the treatment of hip fractures by The Joint Commission. It is also certified in hip and knee replacement. The program is dedicated to diagnosing and caring for disorders of the musculoskeletal system.
