We understand that most people in the industry consider samples to be a necessary evil. Obviously, your goal is to maximize your sampling budget. Traditionally, sample manufacturing has been a labor-intensive proposition, so rising labor costs, caused the unit cost of a given sample to rise. The need to keep sample costs down is something we are all too aware of. We constantly strive to find more efficient ways of making samples to control costs and at the same time improve both the look and quality of your finished product.

We were founded in 1953 by John "Buddy" Harper and were known as Harper Sample Book. It was purchased in 1968 from Mr. Harper by Jerry Harris. Mr. Harper continued on with the company until his retirement in 1979 and remained a part of our extended family for many years until his death in 2002. Jerry's sons Mac and Hal joined the Company in 1983 and 1988 respectively and in 1990 they purchased the company from Jerry who still makes himself available in a consulting capacity. In 1993 Harris Sample Book purchased land in Monticello Georgia.

Harris Sample Book, Inc is a manufacturer of custom fabric samples for the re-upholstery, drapery, furniture, apparel, and napery industries. Our work can be seen in shops and stores across the U.S. and worldwide.
