Description
Cliff Hatch, the original owner of Hatch ’s Fish Market, got his start by selling fresh fish door to door from the back of his pick up truck until he rented space in the building now called the Golden Cod Gallery on Commercial St. in Wellfleet. In 1954 Cliff Hatch constructed a new building on the property behind Wellfleet ’s town hall. The present owner, Rob McClellan, began his employment at Hatch ’s Fish Market in the summer of 1971. Returning each season to work, he slowly gained more responsibilities in running the business. In 1983 the year Cliff Hatch died, Rob purchased the business. The following year Rob convinced his sister Lauren to manage the produce side of the business and for the last 20 years, they have been proud to offer the best, freshest, fish, and produce available on Cape Cod.
