Mr. Hvozda has held an array of executive sales and marketing management positions for over 18 years within the medical device industry. Prior to becoming a Principal Member of Hatch Medical in 2001, Mr. Hvozda held the position of Global Sales and Marketing Director for C.R. Bard Inc.'s Carotid Endovascular Systems division. Prior to this, Mr. Hvozda was the International Director of Marketing for Bard Peripheral Technologies responsible for stents, PTA, vena cava filters, biopsy and drainage devices. Prior to joining Bard, Mr.

Percutaneous interventions (PI) of a CTO remains one of the more difficult technical challenges for interventional practitioners, despite the progress made in the field of PI in the past decade. It has been estimated that CTOs are found in one-third of patients with significant vascular disease. Failure to revascularize a CTO often leaves the patient with either the more invasive option of bypass graft surgery or continuing medical therapy, which may or may not control their symptoms; neither is optimal.
