Progressive Concepts, Inc., founded in 1974 and headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, began operations with a focus on installing mobile phone units in cars. Initial retail operations were established as a car stereo wholesaler to automotive dealers. In 1977, PCI established its first retail store providing only audio products and services, and in 1979 the Company changed the retail store name to Hawk Electronics and ventured into other electronic areas. The Company entered the cellular market in 1984 as a reseller for Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems (now Cingular® Wireless). In 1988, the Company expanded into the home/commercial security business.Today, Progressive Concepts, Inc. is a leading United States provider of wireless voice, data, and entertainment services and branded wireless services to individuals, businesses, and government agencies through its chain of retail stores, sub-agents in Texas and Arkansas.
