Description

Headsight began when can't died. As a typical boy on the farm, it was easy for young Rich Gramm to complain "I can't do this" when an obstacle arose while trying to accomplish a task. His wise father Ed always replied, "Can't died, go try again." When he became a man Rich learned to apply his father's wisdom. He worked as a salesman for a local implement dealer and was known not as a salesman but as a problem solver. When customers were up against the wall or in need of a solution it was common for Rich to be getting a call. One day a farmer came to him and said "can you design something to help regulate the height of my corn header?" That is all it took and Rich started working on different designs and possibilities and testing them in the field. Along with the help of a good friend, Chris Stiedinger and many others, designs were made, problems were found and because 'can't died' solutions were found for each one. The latest design (a flexible poly paddle) was formed on Rich's kitchen table with a piece of scrap paper, which his roommate almost threw away. The success from this single product and idea has been astounding not just at the growth of the company but at the satisfaction of the customers and their pleasure when finding out that they are less tired at the end of a day of harvesting.
