HealthText Inc. was founded in 1999 and provides medical writing from molecule to marketplace for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Founder Cheryl Blackwell has worked for Glaxo Inc. and GlaxoWellcome (now GlaxoSmithKline), initially as a contract clinical research scientist, and then as a medical writer in the Clinical Submissions and Medical Publications departments. After working as a freelance for several years, she kept thinking that there must be a better way to more efficiently and more effectively manage large contracts and aggressive timelines than in working alone.
