Mike Whalen developed, owns and operates 26 restaurants and hotels in ten metropolitan areas of six Midwestern states. The accidental entrepreneur began with a failed 100-seat coffee shop in Davenport, IA after graduation from Harvard Law School.The restaurants were built around varying concepts with The Machine Shed Restaurants as the flagship. The original 100-seats blossomed into the second highest volume restaurant in the state, second only to his other Machine Shed Restaurant.
