Hearts & Hammers - Twin Cities Names New Board Member Minneapolis, MN - February 15, 2010 - Hearts & Hammers - Twin Cities, Incorporated, a private nonprofit that provides home improvement assistance to financially challenged homeowners, today announced the appointment of Karen Rulifson to its Board of Directors; Ms. Rulifson will serve as the Board’s Secretary. Rulifson, 40, is the President of Monarch Leadership in Minneapolis. Monarch is a leadership development firm which develops new and mid-level leaders using an integrated approach centered on results, team effectiveness, and individual development. Rulifson brings more than eighteen years of leadership experience to Hearts & Hammers - Twin Cities. Her experiences range from serving as Director - Global Organizational Effectiveness for Target to leadership roles in retail management, supply chain & inventory control, and nonprofit-organization consulting; she has also served as Chair for a Twin-Cities nonprofit Board of Directors. She has traveled extensively throughout Asia, implementing learning environments for startup companies and coaching leaders in global organizations.
