SPECIALTY: Wahoo Tutors is a full-service tutoring company serving all of Central Virginia. We tutor all ages and subjects, including standardized test preparation. All of our tutors have impeccable academic credentials, enjoy working with students of all ages and abilities, and demonstrate high levels of integrity and professionalism. We are locally owned and operated by a homeschooling family with a passion for education. Rates vary depending on age of student, subject, and number of sessions.

SPECIALTY: Certified teacher with over 16 years of experience tutors students in all levels of mathematics: elementary, middle, algebra, geometry, elementary functions, calculus, statistics, chemistry, SAT ® exam/ACT ® exam prep. Other tutors also available for Spanish, language arts, and English. Specializes in personalized teaching and one-on-one attention with a goal of mastery. Rates: Negotiable.

SPECIALTY: Offers off-site traditional learning environment with homeschool feel. Daily academic instruction for middle school students, with additional community-based learning activities weekly. Technology integration with state-of-the-art equipment. Testing evaluations available. 15 years of teaching and administrative experience in both the special and general education settings. Virginia post-graduate professional teaching license. Teaches language arts and math for grades 6-8, as well as reading remediation. Rate: Negotiable.

You may teach at home if any one of the following conditions is met: if a parent (1) has a high school diploma; or (2) is a certified teacher*; or ((3) provides a program of study or curriculum which may be delivered through a correspondence course or distance learning program or in any other manner; or (iv) provides evidence that he is able to provide an adequate education for the child.

SPECIALTY: Year-round testing offered by a homeschool mom who is a retired curriculum/testing coordinator (M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction) and has worked with homeschoolers since 1980. Professional achievement testing, IQ testing, and learning disability testing available. All professional testing includes feedback and curriculum recommendations. Travel will be considered, depending on the individual situations. Offers online Stanford 10 Achievement and OLSAT8 IQ/Cognitive Ability Testing, administered by us in your home.
