Description

Answer: Heil Trailer International, Co. does not rank tank manufacturers, and we know of no source for such a rating. We respect our competitors for the niche they fill and do not consider their market position when designing our products. However, Heil Trailer is the only ISO 9001 certified tank manufacturer in the United States, and therefore held to strict quality standards, which includes custom-designed and manufactured trailers.

Answer: This is a very good question. We had to turn to our Heil Trailer International, Co. Canadian distributor (Intrans-Corp, Ph: 218-829-6136, Cell: 320-412-6521, intrans@hughes.net) to get an answer. To the best of our knowledge, there is no specific fall protection requirements.

The partnership we share with our customers is at the core of what we do. With over 100 years of experience, we continue to focus our energy on developing and engineering custom solutions built for you through region- and load-specific engineering, customer collaboration in trailer design, access to design files, personal, responsive technical support and the solutions-driven commitment of our expansive network of certified and authorized Heil Trailer dealers and service locations—with no hand-offs or shortcuts when it comes to your success.

In 1901, in a small rented building in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Julius P. Heil started the Heil Rail Joint Welding Co. Inspired by a new process called “welding,” Heil Trailer applied the technology to street car rails at first, then to tanks and truck bodies, making riveted construction obsolete. Heil Trailer International, Co. has become the global manufacturer of specialty transport trailers. The company’s core markets include the petroleum, oil, construction, trucking, railroad, recovery and heavy haul industries.

When it comes to building a premium stainless trailer product, it’s important to first remember that Heil Trailer has worked with stainless metal for the better part of a century, offering a stainless product as early as 1929-long before most other stainless trailer companies were founded.
