John is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of practice and professionalism. He received his BA degree in History from Stanford in 1973, and graduated summa cum laude from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1976. He is a Certified Family Law Specialist by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization and is a member of the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists . He has served as a judge pro tem in the Fresno County Superior Court Family Law Department.

In addition to many years of experience as a family law and divorce litigator, John has extensive training and experience in handling divorces through Divorce Mediation as well as Collaborative Practice . John believes that Divorce Mediation and Collaborative Practice offer healthier and more reasonable ways to resolve divorce issues for many couples. He is one of the founding members of Central Valley Collaborative Law Affiliates , having served as its president. He is a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals .
