Help Give Hope is a not-for-profit charitable organization whose objective is to assist needy families, in particular children, in and around Springfield, Missouri as well as Christian and Webster counties. Designed initially to provide help during the Holiday Season, Help Give Hope now offers year round assistance to children in needy families. Getting Started! Our Christmas project begins each year in early October. We work closely with the Springfield Public Schools, Logan-Rogersville Public Schools, Crosslines, Department of Family Services, churches and similar organizations who provide to HELP GIVE HOPE qualified families (they have met government requirements for assistance and have completed required applications). All families are home visited by a member of HELP GIVE HOPE to review their applications and qualifications and to observe the environment. We anticipate visiting nearly 250 families to select the 150 we expect to adopt during our Christmas 2006 project (including 750+ children!). The Future... If you had asked us in 1990 where would HELP GIVE HOPE be in 2006 we would never have envisioned the growth that occurred. Thus, saying where we're going in the future is a broad guess at best. However, if funds allow, our goal is to continue to expand and assist more and more children, create new, innovative ways to help and always make our donors proud of their participation because every penny raised gets to families and we do make a difference.
