Hendrick Automotive Group, headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., was founded in 1976 by Rick Hendrick. Hendrick serves as Chairman of Hendrick Automotive Group, Hendrick Companies LLC, and Hendrick Motorsports.

Founded in 1976 by Rick Hendrick, the Charlotte, N.C. company operates 87 dealerships representing 29 nameplates, 121 franchises and 24 collision centers and three accessories distributor installers in 13 states: Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. More than 8,500 people are employed by Hendrick Automotive Group.
