The Collections Database contains descriptions of select materials held by the Hershey Community Archives in its archival collection, including oral history interviews, the records of local businesses and organizations, and records related to the corporate entities. The database does not represent the entire archival collection of the Archives and will be continually updated with collection descriptions as they become available. A consultation with the Archives’ staff is strongly recommended to assist in identifying records pertinent to your research. Researchers should see What Do We Have for more information and use the Contact Us form to contact the staff with questions regarding our holdings. Online access to the Hershey Press newspaper, published from September 1909 through December 1926, is available using the link below. Between September 1912 and June 1914, the title of the newspaper varied and it was published as Hershey’s Weekly or Hershey’s The Progressive Weekly. These issues are included in this database. Hershey Press Search Hints Use one of the following phrases to locate information on Milton Hershey and Catherine Hershey. “mr. hershey”; “mrs. hershey”; “m. s. hershey” (it is necessary to include a space between the initials). Additional search hints are available on the Advanced Search screen in the database.
