This reputation is not accidental; it is the result of thinking, planning, and the careful workmanship of all of the employees here who have worked together to bring this Company up to its present position within the industry.Hi-Country Snack Foods, Inc. had its beginnings as Hi-Country Beef Jerky, founded in April of 1976. At that time our beef jerky was produced in an 800 sq. foot building with just two people. As sales have continued to increase exponentially since then, a new plant has been built, expansions made, and many more employees have been hired in order to keep up with growing demand. Today Hi-Country’s meat snacks are being sold on a number of company owned routes, through several wholesalers and distributors, and Hi-Country’s own retail store. Currently, Hi-Country’s product line includes dozens of variations of jerky, sausage and other smoked products.
