Welcome to Hicks Orchard! New York's Oldest U-Pick Orchard and a Family Tradition since 1905. Located in Middle Granville, New York, in the Lower Adirondack Region on the New York/Vermont border, Hicks Orchard is a great place to spend a lazy summer day picking cherries, blueberries or raspberries or an entire day during the fall apple harvest enjoying the best that eastern New York has to offer. Whether you're picking your own fruit on our farm, tempting your taste buds with hot cider donuts, watching apple cider being pressed in our cider mill, visiting the barnyard animals, getting lost in the corn maze or making a scarecrow to take home, Hicks Orchard has something for everyone. Tri State Antique Tractor Club, displaying antique tractors on Saturday from 10am til noon. Bounce House for kids, Corn Maze, Wagon Rides (10-4), Make Your Own Scarecrows, Maple Cotton Candy, BBQ Grill, Barnyard Animals. Apple picking is open from 9am til 6pm! Apple Barn is open from 9am til 6pm! Slyboro Ciderhouse is open from 11am til 6pm. Apple Barn Open Daily.... We are open daily 9am til 6pm right now! In the BARN.... McIntosh apples....freshly picked for you! Sweet and tangy. Cortland apples...Nice and crispy, perfect for pies and desserts! Macouns....a delicious dessert style apple. Empires....crisp and juicy. A cross between McIntosh and Red Delicious. Northern Spy....THE apple for pies! Golden Delicious....early this year, sweet and juicy. Jonagolds...delicious sweet crun Red Delicious....crisp and juicy. Fresh Apple Cider! Gallons and half gallons available. Also, by the glass! Fresh Cider Donuts! Our famous Cider Donuts made fresh daily right here in our barn. Cider Slushies! Our own cider served in a icy slushie form! It's soooo good! Local Honey, Local Cheeses, Maple Syrup, Maple Creams and Candies, Local Preserves, Apple Butters, Pies and more. Pumpkins too! Pick your own apples..... U-Pick hours are 9am til 6pm daily. Please be in the orchard by 5:30 to give yourself enough time to pick. Every Saturday a new orchard opens (so the "best picking" is always Saturday morning).... U-Pick Price is $17 per half bushel. Right now you can pick your own Northern Spy, Empires and Red Delicious. Starting Saturday October 9th, you can pick JONAGOLDS AND GOLDEN DELICIOUS , as well as Northern Spy, Empires and Red Delicious. Our farm is featured in a big way with lots of pictures and fall recipes! Slyboro Ciderhouse Tasting Room open daily... Summer is the season for a well chilled glass of Hard Cider!!! Stop in the farm winery (where it's nice and cool) for a taste of our fine award-winning Ciders! For you dry cider fans, Night Pasture is back! Winery hours are 11-5 daily! This Year's Crop....
