Hideaway Bay

Site Description and Location Hideaway Bay is comprised of 190 acres of lush forest and 2500 feet of river frontage on the Ottawa River in Pontiac County, Quebec. To the west is the small beachfront community of Sand Bay, the location of about 75 homes and cottages and 200 yards of beach used by many local and Ottawa families who own properties in the area. Down river is Norway Bay, another marine community popular with Ottawa residents for seasonal enjoyment of the outdoors. A ten-minute drive takes you to Shawville, Quebec which can supply you with most of your daily shopping needs. A twenty minute drive to the Ontario side via the inter-provincial bridge at Portage du Fort will take you to Renfrew which offers a Walmart, McDonald’s, Canadian Tire, movie theatres and much more. Hideaway Bay is conveniently located with paved and secondary road access and we have just completed a new road to the actual site. From the Champlain Bridge in Ottawa the distance to Hideaway Bay is about 80 kilometres. From Kanata/Stittsville the route is about 70 kilometres west using the ferry to cross to Quyon, Quebec.
