Hidell & Associates Architects has been providing superior architectural design solutions, nation wide, for more than 50 years. Conceived in 1948 as a partnership between architects William Hidell, II and Pete Decker, Hidell & Decker Architects designed & constructed commercial and industrial projects until 1952. From 1952-1979, William Hidell, II continued his work as a sole proprietorship under the firm name of William H. Hidell Architects.

Whether designing libraries, corporate headquarters, K-12 educational facilities, recreation centers, museums, theaters, religious facilities, higher education facilities, city halls/civic centers, or interior environments, we look beyond the ordinary for the unique expression of each client's vision.

Our team has vast experience in planning, designing, and construction compiling more than 200 public library projects, 50 religious facilities, 120 educational facilities, and 50 theaters spanning from the west to east coast.

A 20,200 square foot branch library for the Dallas Public Library System consists of an open floor plan (adult, children and teen collections and public computers strategically located to feel that they have their area within the library but visible from a central point of control "service desk"). Flexible classroom space, study rooms and a multi-purpose meeting room that transforms into a "black box theater" four months out of the year.
