Pseudofolliculitis barbae (PFB) is a condition that until recently has remained virtually obscure from medical enlightenment. This condition, commonly known as "razor bumps" to millions of black men who shave regularly, is characterized by painful inflammation, ingrown hairs and facial eruptions. Although not exclusively a black affliction, this condition is most common amongst blacks because of the curly curved hair structure. Nearly 5 million American black men suffer with PFB.
