The Parent/Teacher Organization at Highpoint, known as the PTO, seeks to provide support for the school in several areas. However, the main objective of the organization is to raise funds through numerous events and activities for the purpose of improving educational programs and/or obtaining additional supplies of materials for the overall improvement of our school. Our PTO is a Non-Profit registered Florida Corporation. It is non-commercial, non-sectarian and non-partisan. The Executive Board of Directors consists of wonderful parents who have been with our school for many years. They give long hours of their time and effort to make all Highpoint events successful. Thanks to the efforts of the entire PTO, our school raises over $25,000.00 each year. This money is deposited directly into a separate PTO Account and is used for items that will benefit the entire student body and/or the Highpoint faculty. The PTO sponsors and organizes numerous Fund-Raising events throughout the year. These include sales of items (Scholastic Book Fairs, World's Finest Chocolate Bar drive, Reader's Digest/QSP Christmas Gift-Wrap & Gifts sales, sale of Avon Products, sale of Highpoint sweatshirts, etc.). In addition, the PTO sponsors a Dinner for parents and students during the first Quarter Parent-Teacher Night and they help organize our annual "Festival and Raffle" each year. Some favorite fund-raising events are repeated annually, some occur on a diverse schedule. All events are varied to reflect the wide age range in the school, with activities planned to appeal to all age groups. The PTO also helps whenever teachers ask. It is truly an organization of dedicated parents that believe in what Highpoint Academy has to offer and know that their lending hand can truly make a difference to those working with their children. Through this organization, programs are able to function at their fullest potential. Our PTO provides the support and resources necessary to help Highpoint Academy acquire and maintain the latest technological advances and to continue its proud tradition of offering the highest quality programs available.
