The service I received from Hilker’s Fabric and Couture Care was outstanding! When I took our family’s heirloom christening gown, which has been in my family for over 80 years , to the N. C. History Museum to seek cleaning they recommended I use Hilker’s Fabric and Couture Care to restore and preserve the gown.

Each garment is inspected to ensure the best method is selected for cleaning and spot removal. All buttons, hems, embellishments and trims are inspected and repaired if necessary. An experienced hand finisher will then be assigned to the garment to provide exquisite couture care. A final inspection and packaging completes the highest quality of finishing each garment receives at Hilker’s Fabric and Couture Care.

In 1916, an enterprising gentleman by the name of Emile Hilker opened an upscale dry cleaning, fur cleaning and storage business on Fayetteville Street in Downtown Raleigh. As the business grew, now a third generation is at the helm. Today it remains a true, small family business that continues to provide unmatched quality, traditional dry cleaning and hand-finished, specialty garment care services.
