The firm was founded in 1985 by George W. Holt, at which time the company specialized in residential appraisals. In the early 1990s the scope of services expanded to include commercial and industrial work.

Holt Associates, Inc. is a full service real estate appraisal and consulting firm specializing in all phases of real estate valuation and valuation-related services. The company services the counties of Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Allegheny and southern Erie County for residential appraisals and the larger area of Western New York from Syracuse west for commercial appraisals.

Holt Associates, Inc. provides professional appraisal services that conform to governmental guidelines and the provisions of Uniform Standard of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
