Harry S. Holtze founded Holtze Construction Co. as a single proprietorship in 1919. Together with his three sons, Mr. Holtze incorporated the firm in 1959. In 1960, Sioux Contractors, Inc. was started as an open shop counter part to Holtze construction, which performs work outside of the Sioux City area. Midstates Development, Inc. began in 1971, as a full service property management company. Through the years, Midstates has established a reputation for excellence through high yields, low vacancy rates and appreciating property values. Holtze Construction has been in the commercial painting business for over fifty years and operates under the name of Glover Painting Co. These four entities comprise the HOLTZE companies.
