Dear families, friends, benefactors and those interested in learning more about Holy Family Academy, It is with great joy and thanksgiving to God that the Board of Trustees announced on the occasion of our 6th graduation, on June 11, 2006, that Holy Family Academy has been granted a full term of accreditation from the National Association of Private, Catholic* and Independent Schools. This has been a thorough process that has allowed us to scrutinize every aspect of our school and to rejoice in those areas that we have firmly established, as well as to see those areas where we need to continue to make improvements. Upon the completion of the first six years of our work to establish the Academy, we are gratified to have earned this recognition from NAPC*IS. It is by the grace of God, that we have been able to establish and operate a school that meets, and often exceeds, the Standards of Excellence as defined below. Our decision to seek accreditation came from our desire to be held accountable for living out standards that would assist us in offering an education in excellence, one that is authentically Catholic and that springs “from the heart of the Church”. Take time to look at the NAPC*IS Standards of Excellence that are printed below and please take a moment to offer a prayer of thanksgiving to Almighty God for the grace to come to this moment in our history and for the grace to remain faithful to the tasks ahead. Thank you to all those who worked so hard to assist us in achieving this important milestone – our Board of Trustees, Administrative Team, Faculty, Staff and benefactors. In a letter sent to the Board of Trustees dated May 15, 2006, from the Executive Director of NAPC*IS, Eileen Cubanski wrote: “I am pleased to inform you that Holy Family Academy has been granted a full term of accreditation from the National Association of Private Catholic and Independent Schools. As an accrediting agency specifically designed to uphold the Standards of Excellence in schools committed to preserving and teaching the Catholic Faith loyal to the Holy See, NAPCIS is proud to recognize the work of Holy Family Academy and the dedication of its Board of Trustees, Administrative Team, faculty and staff in educating our youth as future leaders in the Church and society.”
