Hoover Karate Academy

Description

As founder, owner and head sensei of HKA, I welcome you to our family. I have been training in the Martial Arts since 1973 and opened my first dojo in 1981. Since then, we have been perfecting our academy in many ways. Our style, Kwon Ryu Fu Chi Do, is a mixed martial art self defense system, pulled from six different Martial Arts: Tae Kwon Do, Shorin Ryu, Goju Ryu, Kung Fu, Tai Chi Chuan and Juijitsu. I believe our approach to teaching is what makes us unique. Each class is approached with a feel of mental readiness and a desire to get in the best physical shape with proven, reliable methods. We adhere to the traditions of self discipline, self control and respect, while being progressive in the approach and content of training. Our academies will continue to provide a safe, respectful and clean environment in which to train and learn. Together, we can continue to grow as a community. Remember as an individual we are limited, but together we can achieve greatness. Sincerely and Respectfully, Sensei Timothy C. Hoover Voted " Best of the Valley for Martial Arts Instruction 2008." Tradition of Knowledge. A Lifetime of Learning.
