Horizon Initiative is a non-profit 501c3 organization formed to provide developmental resources in the area of marketplace ministry and to be a conduit for funding ministries that teach these same principles to the poor. Horizon Initiative was formed in the fall of 2002 from the vision of Christian business leaders who wanted to see men and women released into the marketplace to use their unique God given talents. For too long the church has been placing an artificial barrier between the church and the marketplace. Horizon Initiative has been formed to help tear down that barrier by developing resources to train business leaders from the fields of education, the arts, the corporate world, healthcare, government and others in order to show them how to integrate their faith into their place of work. Horizon Initiative also believes in serving the poor and needy among us, and supports several ministries that do more than just offer a hand out...
