About HOW THE WEATHERWORKS HOW THE WEATHERWORKS is a company dedicated to providing high-quality educational weather services to teachers and students from pre-school through adulthood. Started in 1979, the company has steadily increased its presence in educational circles through a growing line of curriculum supported products and numerous client-focused workshops and in-service programs . HOW THE WEATHERWORKS prides itself in having a unique meteorologist-educator team to ensure that science and education are blended through multi-disciplinary thematic study units. Mathematics, geography, language arts (including literature-based readings), history, and much more are "webbed" in our programs and products. The name HOW THE WEATHERWORKS was chosen because everyone kept asking us "how the weather works." We also refer to ourselves as the people who emphasize "weather education for all seasons for all reasons." In late 2005, HOW THE WEATHERWORKS expanded into math tutoring and Mathworks was born. Mathworks is our math, language arts, science, SAT/ACT prep and any other subject requested tutoring arm. Last year we had more than 50 clients and are on track to exceed that this year. We have more than a dozen tutors working with us in this venture. HOW THE WEATHERWORKS also provides internship and mentorship opportunities to students interested in or studying meteorology.
