Howard D. Rothbloom is the principal in his own Marietta-based law firm. He previously held the position of partner with the firm Barnes, Browning, Tanksley & Casurella. He earned his law degree from the University of Georgia. Mr. Rothbloom provides a single point of contact for clients with bankruptcy and other financial distress issues in a "boutique", low volume, professional environment. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. He is a member of the Cobb County Bar Association and is also a member of the board of directors of the Atlanta Legal Aid Society. Mr. Rothbloom emphasizes bankruptcy litigation and has handled complex bankruptcy cases involving issues of discharge and dischargeability, mortgage balance and other creditor claim disputes, good faith filing, income tax liabilities, and preferential and fraudulent transfers. Further, Mr. Rothbloom has pioneered and won multi-million dollar mortgage lending abuse cases on behalf of thousands of poor people against some of the world's wealthiest and most powerful financial institutions.
