In 1957, after 10 plus years in the construction business, Bill Howell decided that he needed a career change. He decided on insurance. No one really remembers, but the choice was obviously a good one. In 1960, his long time friend, John Stone, joined the business and Howell-Stone Insurance was officially formed.
