Michael R. Girard, Doctor of Chiropractic Dr. Mike opened Hudson Family Chiropractic in 1987. The naturally vitalistic and wellness aspects of chiropractic were what most called him to become a chiropractor, and have remained as core values throughout the existence of the practice. Born in Buffalo, NY and raised in Framingham, MA, Dr. Mike returned with his family from Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands to graduate from high school in Fishkill, NY. After earning a BS degree in Biology from Albany State University (NY), he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from NY Chiropractic College in 1986. Dr. Mike is licensed to practice in MA and NY, and holds post doctorate certifications in radiology, pediatrics, sports chiropractic, and advanced chiropractic technique applications. After serving the MA Chiropractic Society as president, Dr. Mike continues to remain active with the organization and with its charitable foundation. He has served within the community through the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, and regularly contributes to multiple local youth sports leagues and other area programs. Dr. Mike is also a member of the Avidia Bank board of directors, and has been a Corporator for the bank since 1994. Dr. Mike is a past recipient of the MA Chiropractor of the Year, and many other practice and professional awards. Dr. Mike lives in Hudson with his wife Nancy and daughter Laura, who are life-long residents. Nancy was instrumental in the origination and early growth of HFC and continues to be involved today in many facets of the practice as well as in charitable work throughout the Hudson area. Laura attends Hudson High School and is passionate about music, art, drama, and dance.JoAnn has lived with her family in Hudson for 26 years after a career of world wide military service. After years of practice family membership with her husband and five children, JoAnn joined the HFC team in 1993. When people improve their health and reach their full potential through chiropractic, she is thrilled to watch the process. JoAnn always enjoys sharing her personal experiences with chiropractic, and is still amazed by the transformations of others that she is able to see through her position on the HFC team. When not performing as ‘C.A. extraordinaire ’ JoAnn loves to play with her nine grandchildren, care for her pets, and travel. Her other passions include auto racing, home remodeling, and crafts.
