Links About the Multicultural Program The Multicultural Issues in Evaluation Program is one of the Evaluation Center's most multifaceted programs. This program is designed to provide technical assistance by responding to consultations, tracking conferences, and producing materials to assist with multicultural issues in evaluation. The Multicultural Issues in Evaluation Program is dedicated to the development, assessment, application, and dissemination of information that pertains to multicultural issues in evaluation. We accomplish these goals by publicizing relevant conferences or presentations and responding to consultation requests that ask for technical assistance in relation to multicultural issues. Additionally, we publish materials on various multicultural issues in evaluation. The Evaluation Center@HSRI conceptualizes diversity and multiculturalism as encompassing populations and topics that are often underrepresented in evaluation and program development. These topical areas include but are not limited to ethnic minorities, women, rural mental health, gay and lesbian issues, refugee mental health services, older adult research, services for persons who are deaf and hard of hearing, and the understanding and implementation of culturally competent practices.
