During the renovation phase of the American Brewery project, Humanim began working with a group of aspiring entrepreneurs. Initially, these three individuals were hired to provide security for the Brewery construction site under the General Contractor. Positively, they had a vision that went far beyond just serving in these positions. Instead, they chose to grow their own security business, now known as The Watchmen. Humanim provided technical assistance, mentoring and guidance for business development.

Humanim has provided a wide range of human services to individuals with disabilities for over forty years. Through the efforts of a team of professional staff dedicated to our mission and the provision of the highest quality of care, Humanim has achieved the maximum accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) since 1994. Our goal is to offer programs that encourage growth, promote independence and foster responsibility. Many of Humanim's services for individuals with disabilities are available to children, adolescents, adults and older adults.

Elev8 Baltimore is a full-service community schools approach that provides high-quality out-of-school time activities, school-based health services, and resources and support for students and families in four East Baltimore schools.
