Description
It all started on a farm. As the daughter of farmers, one of our founders was raised on a farm in Washington State. At the age of seven she began selling sweet corn at her family's roadside produce stand. Meanwhile her mother, our other founder, was busy both farming and bringing up her youngest. In the summer of 1998, this mother-daughter team burst into the Kettle Korn business at a farmers' market. Things have been popping ever since! What started as a part-time hobby has grown into a full-time occupation. From our regular site at the Beaverton Farmers' Market we've also become a mainstay at the Astoria Sunday Market. In 2003 we cruised into Astoria for the Never on Sunday Markets and we helped Intel celebrate their 35th birthday with a pop-pop-pop! This past year we burst onto the scene of a movie set popping prop-corn for the Ring Two. Nike again invited us to pop in for some special events and, for the fourth year in a row, we popped up at the annual Synposys Harvest Festival. In addition to our usual summer market sites you may find us stirring things up at school bazaars or the Beaverton GI Joe's in the winter. Today we have experience popping and serving warm Kettle Korn at events attracting anywhere from a few hundred persons to several hundred-thousand persons. While Original Kettle Korn remains our main product, due to popular demand, we now offer gourmet popcorn in a variety of flavors. Roasted nuts recently popped on the menu too...
