R. H. Hummer Jr., Incorporated was established in 1982. We are a common and contract carrier. R. H. Hummer Jr., Inc primarily operates within a 700 mile radius of Eastern Iowa. We do transport to all 48 states and Canada regularly. R. H. Hummer Jr., Incorporated proudly runs primarily 2007 or newer equipment for power units, vans, flatbeds, drop decks, RGNs, and Canadian spreads. Our corporate office and main terminal is located at I-80 exit 220 in Williamsburg, Iowa. R. H. Hummer Jr., Incorporated has Iowa terminals with drop yards located in Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Fairfield, Fort Dodge, Grinnell, West Burlington, and Wilton. Minnesota terminals with drop yards are located in Newport (South St. Paul), Redwood Falls and Winnebago. We have a sales office in South Bend, Indiana. R. H. Hummer Jr., Incorporated has a growing fleet of approximately 210 power units. The company power units include 35 2009 units and 10 2010 units. Our experienced drivers are a 60/40 mix of company drivers to leased contract carriers. The majority of our van fleet of over 130 53 ft air-ride equipment is primarily 2007 or newer. The 210 flatbed fleet units includes 190 2007 or newer 53' models with spread axles and air-ride. R. H. Hummer Jr., Incorporated has 11 53' drop decks with ramps for drive on loads. All of our company owned flatbed equipment can scale 48,000 lbs. We are experienced in over dimensional and over weight hauls. We meet the specific needs of our customers through the various services that we offer, one of which includes the ability to drop trailers at your facilities so they are available at your convenience for loading. Another is dedicated fleet service.
