Description
Hutchins & Associates specializes in estate planning and related legal services. Founded in 1974, it has dedicated itself to forging lasting relationships with generations of clients. The firm represents a wide variety of clients including farmers and ranchers, renowned authors, Fortune 500 executives, business owners, celebrities, professional athletes and coaches, and members of the judiciary.
Just as individuals must plan for the future and employ estate planning strategies to protect their families and their assets, so must family businesses plan for the time when the founder or partners are no longer on the scene to guide the business. Our firm helps business clients spell out their plans for the future of the business. Whether your business is brand new or has been established for many years, it is important to take positive steps to ensure that the right people will operate your business and do it in a way that you approve.
Leslie joined Hutchins & Associates in 2005 to provide litigation services to the firm as well as general litigation and transactional work for the firm’s clients. Leslie focuses her practice on litigation services in the field of Wills, Trusts and Estates, and general Probate. She represents numerous corporate trustees and individual trustees. Given her extensive experience in both civil and criminal litigation, in State and Federal court, in Colorado, New York and Arizona, Leslie is able to provide the firm’s clients with a variety of legal services.
Our lawyers have particular experience in preserving assets for wealthy families through estate planning. Unlike most people, individuals with significant wealth are subject to state and federal estate taxes upon death. Without proper planning, taxes can consume a large portion of an individual’s wealth after death, leaving heirs with much less than the deceased intended.
