The chaotic 9-5’s (and then some) five days a week makes finding time to go fishing like trying to force that last bit of paste out of the toothpaste tube! But having a manageable skiff like the IPB 16 makes a big difference when time is of the essence. Leaving work to go fishing has become an almost every-other-day occurrence for Adrian Gray who picked up his brand new IPB only two months ago… and since then he’s logged over 27 after-work sessions fishing Miami’s skyline.Yes, all at the expense of doing laundry and normal daily chores after work. But that is all secondary when the tarpon are in town.Nocuturnal pursuits of tarpon and snook and even some grouper in the dusk hours have already filled the memory banks and digital photo albums with tarpon up to 140 + lb along with 7lb mangrove snapper, gag grouper and black grouper up to 15 lb. 2010 has been a memorable tarpon year so far for Adrian and friends. One night his friend, Chris Carpenter, jumped or caught and released several tarpon, one estimated over 140 lb along with a 12 lb gag grouper… all within the skyline of Miami Vice. Another night had good numbers, hooking over 20 tarpon, all on fly, with fellow co-worker Jason Schratwieser. On some of the windy nights Adrian found the stability of the IPB 16 advantageous when two anglers are on the bow casting toward fish under lights and shadow-lines. Adrian’s personal preference was for a tiller model IPB 16, which provides ample deck space to move around in tight corners when a tarpon rushes from bow to stern.Keep up the good work Adrian we are looking forward to your next report!
