iStrategy Solutions is the leading provider of higher education analytic reporting and data warehouse solutions. Founded in 1999, iStrategy LLC is a privately held firm based in Owings Mills, MD. iStrategy's management team has been working in the data warehousing and business intelligence space for over fifteen (15) years. Our HigherEd Analytics design team has years of experience designing first class analytic applications in a wide range of industries and are experts in the field of business intelligence.

We also recognize that each institution is unique and may have information needs that we have not incorporated into our standard model. HigherEd Analytics is more than a hardwired package - it's a framework to build upon. We have extended our model to meet unique needs and business rules of our customers, and our customers will tell you that the framework is very flexible and efficient.

Product History In 2002, iStrategy won a competitive award from Gallaudet University to design and implement an enterprise data warehouse application. At Gallaudet University, we brought best practices in data warehousing methodology, dimensional modeling and business intelligence to a higher education solution. We received outstanding feedback from our work, and with a clear void in the market for an out-of-the-box higher education data warehouse solution, we decided to turn our work into a product. The vision of providing a solution that would enable our customers to build a complete student data warehouse in just days was a very compelling value proposition, and one in which iStrategy was committed to pursue.

Some of the metrics we provide are directly mapped from ERP source data (e.g., Credit Hours Attempted), some are derived and stored in the relational fact tables (e.g., Admitted Count) and some are calculated in the OLAP engine at the aggregate level (e.g., Retention %). The value of the application is that the user doesn't have to calculate the metrics; they are calculated consistently and accurately for everyone within the application.

With years of development to-date, a proven product and outstanding customer references, HigherEd Analytics is a mature and robust analytic reporting platform for Student/Academic information. Many highly experienced eyes from our customers and their expert consultants have provided invaluable input into what has been a continual refinement process that has evolved our application to where it is today - a solution that address many challenging reporting problems around student analytic reporting. iStrategy continues to provide the only out-of-the-box analytic application and data warehouse for student data.
