In addition, Harriet has served on the Delaware Chapter Board as Vice President, then President for two years, and Past President for two years. She has attended IFMA's World Workplace, the IFMA Leadership Workshop, and the NFM&T conference in Baltimore. Harriet started out as Office Manager of BlackRock's Philadelphia location in 1997, where she managed space planning and vendor relationships. Upon completion of BlackRock's building in the Bellevue Corporate Center and closure of the Philadelphia site in early 2001, Harriet joined the Corporate Services department at BlackRock and is now a Director. Harriet was appointed Regional Satellite Manager for a number of BlackRock locations, where she is responsible for space planning, projects, and the general Corporate Services function. Harriet believes that the difference between good and great in a Facilities role is the ability to listen, understand and balance the needs of both the employees and the corporate culture, all while be cognizant of the current economic situation.
