Ignite the FIRE is a ministry born out of my life. I am a homeschooling mother with 8 children and we have been homeschooling since 1992. After spending a large amount of money on textbooks and seemingly everything we needed for kindergarten, I realized my oldest daughter's learning had slowed dramatically, and her love to learn had all but disappeared. Out of sheer desperation, I tossed out the textbooks and went back to reading aloud and enjoying life. We have now found what we believe to be the perfect plan for our home school. As you read the pages in the navigation menu to the left, please remember one thing, my method should not be followed exactly. Your child is not an exact science. Your child's education should be guided through constant prayer, not through the Terri Camp method. You will learn as you peruse our site that there are many ways to learn something. Our prayer as you journey to the center of our lives is that you come out refreshed, uplifted, and more prepared to train up your children in the way they should go.
