Imperial Machine & Tool Co. is a state-of-the-art machining, fabricating, and assembly facility specializing in Advanced Manufacturing techniques. Our business is based on precision and, in turn, our precision is based on our capability to accurately and consistently verify our products through measuring. Our quality control system and day-to-day processes are ISO 9001/2008 certified and without the skilled staff and calibrated equipment of our Quality Assurance Department to verify our components we’d really be at a procedural impass. Using state-of-the-art CNC and manual CMM’s, height gauges and video equipment, as well as shop floor in-process inspection stations, we are able to perform the most complex and close tolerance inspections in the industry. It is often said that the true measure of quality can be best measured by longevity and while our industry frequently sees rapid ramp-ups and equally precipitous drop-offs, only those who are day in and day out top drawer quality outfits stand the test of time. As we continue our foray into the world of Additive Manufacture, Imperial is proud to announce our SLM-280 3D Metal Printer is now fully operational. This capability, married with our extensive capabilities in precision machining and fabricating, enables us to provide extensive Additive Manufacturing capability to the market. As a full service provider of high end manufacturing to a wide variety of industries Imperial Machine & Tool Co. has already begun the customer engagement process with our existing customer base. Our activities to date have included efforts to lighten a major Artillery system as well as lightening helicopter mounted Gun Mount equipment.

Imperial continues to expand our offerings and capabilities, particularly with additive Manufacturing. We were recently featured in the May AM supplement to Modern Machine Shop (MMS) magazine. Modern Machine Shop has long been a leading voice for Advanced Manufacturing and we were honored to have been asked to help explain AM and where Imperial Machine & Tool Co. fits in. In addition to the exciting work we are doing with our SLM Powder Bed Fusion machine we are currently exploring the world of Selective Laser Sintering in polymers and copolymers.
