As Principal and Partner of Independent Employment Counsel, LLP, Ms. Maxwell brings more than twenty-five years of experience to her work providing management and leadership seminars and employment law training, conducting independent internal workplace investigation, serving as an arbitrator and mediator, and providing expert witness services. She is admitted to the State Bar of California, various federal district courts, and the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Ms. Maxwell is a member of Phi Beta Kappa Society, California Bar Association, New York State Bar Association (Labor and Employment and Dispute Resolution Sections), Cornell University ILR Roster of Dispute Resolution Neutrals, Association for Conflict Resolution and the Labor and Employment Relations Association. She received an A.B. from Brown University and graduated magna cum laude with a double major in Political Science and Sociology. She received her law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Law.
