David Patel Mr. Patel is a founding Partner and President of Indus Companies, Incorporated, a company he co-founded with David Kozar focusing on hotel development, management and real estate brokerage. Mr. Patel is a 23 year entrepreneurial veteran of the hotel industry, having developed and consulted for a wide variety of individuals and institutions. Mr. Patel is a visionary in the limited service hotel market. He was the first Hotelier to develop a Holiday Inn Express in the Columbus Ohio market (in 1995); he created and developed (along with David Kozar) the 36 room Kozy Inn concept as a free standing starter hotel for young entrepreneurs (2004). Mr. Patel participates in all phases of hotel development, financing, ownership and management. He is a hands-on manager responsible for the oversight of the Indus Companies' owned and managed hotel inventory. His focus is on the bottom line with a firm belief that quality execution and a focus on the customer will lead to long-term profitable performance. He has initiated the development, construction, and management of a number of hotels in the recent past, including numerous Hampton Inns, Hilton Garden Inns, Comfort Inns, Fairfield Inns and Suites, and Country Inns and Suites. He co-developed the $20 million Hampton Inn and Suites in downtown Columbus. Mr. Patel recently participated in the design and construction of a 158-room Hilton Garden Inn on Olentangy River Road, near the Ohio State campus and is currently working on several other projects in the Columbus area including a 198-room Embassy Suites hotel at the Columbus Airport. David was born and raised in India. After graduation in 1974 he worked in Zambia, Africa for the Copper mining firm, NCCM Limited Mr. Patel immigrated to the United States in 1983 and became a US citizen in 1998. He is married with three daughters and lives in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio. David Kozar Mr. Kozar is a founding Partner and Vice President of Indus Companies, Incorporated Prior to co-founding Indus in 1997 with David Patel, he maintained a position with Ohio Equities, Inc as a Real Estate Broker, specializing in investment real estate, commercial land and development, retail and hotel sales. Mr. Kozar oversees Indus Companies' development and brokerage efforts in all of the traditional areas. Mr. Kozar is actively involved in all aspects of the company's site selection, design and construction of each hotel development, Mr. Kozar additionally represents clients in the purchase or sale of multiple limited service hotels including: Amerihost Inns, Comfort Inns, Holiday Express and Hampton Inn. An extensive background in land brokerage and development, Mr. Kozar's success is reflected in his site acquisition efforts for Embassy Suites, Comfort Inn, Holiday Express, Hampton Inn and Suites and Marriott SpringHill Suites. In 1997 Mr. Kozar spearheaded Indus' land acquisition and site approval process to develop a $20 million Hampton Inn and Suites in downtown Columbus for an Indus related entity, NTK Hotel Group, LLC. He successfully acquired a historic in-fill site opposite the Columbus Convention Center through careful assemblage of the property and oversight of the Historic Resources Commission concept review and approval effort. Ultimately a 179-room Hampton Inn and Suites Hotel, 130 car underground parking garage and 8,500 square foot restaurant space was completed in late 2001. David graduated from the Ohio State University, in 1991 with a BS in Business Administration, majoring in Finance and Marketing. He is married with three young children and lives in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio. Andrew Hann Andrew Hann is Vice President of Operations of Indus Companies, Incorporated He has more than 20 years of Hospitality Industry experience, primarily in full service hotels and has a broad range of knowledge in food and beverage and operational controls. Joining Indus Companies in 2003 as the General Manager of the Hampton Inn and Suites, Mr. Hann was promoted to Vice President of Operations in 2005 at Indus Companies. Mr. Hann works directly with the Principals on all hotel acquisition and new development projects including market feasibility studies, competitive surveys, SWOT analysis and budget projections. Andrew maintains daily oversight of the hotels including review and audit of cost controls, budgetary guidelines and guest service. Additionally, he negotiates contracts for services on behalf of the hotels. Janet Boissy Janet Boissy is Vice President Sales & Marketing of Indus Companies, Incorporated Ms. Boissy joined Indus Companies in 2002. She has over 25 years experience in the hospitality industry including National Sales and Electronic Distribution. Prior experience includes management of the marketing and sales for a hotel chain of 27 properties with hotels from 386 to 1816 rooms and 230,000 square feet meeting space. Ms. Boissy oversees revenue management to insure the placement and rate strategy, for each brand or independent hotel, working closely and advising the General Managers and Sales Departments at each property for positioning and rate integrity. Janet's responsibilities include negotiation and oversight of Electronic Distribution and National Sales contracting and RFP processes for all hotels including the purchasing of all promotional, advertising marketing and partnership contracts. She monitors the Internet Booking and Hosting companies, Websites, SEO and PPC marketing programs to insure maximization of each hotels exposure. She also negotiates and audits the representation companies to insure hotel presence in GDS, IDS and ADS distribution channels. Ms. Boissy works with Convention and Visitors Bureaus and Chambers of Commerce for Columbus and surrounding communities.
