The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System is a rating system where credits are earned for achieving specified building and site performance thresholds. Five major environmental categories are Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy & Atmosphere, Materials & Resources, and Indoor Environmental Quality. The LEED standard is widely adopted by federal agencies, state local governments, and interested private companies as a guideline for sustainable design and construction. Middle Georgia Technical College Lab and Classroom Facility – (LEED Certification Pending) Ingenium Consulting provided mechanical engineering design for a 9,500 sqft Lab and Classroom Facility. System highlights are high efficiency rooftop package Heat Pumps, dedicated outside air system and building EMS. The project was created utilizing Autodesk REVIT and Autodesk MEP 2010.
