Description

In the mid-1970’s, The Inn at Stonecliffe served as a ski resort. During this time, entrepreneur George Staffan purchased the estate and began running it as an Inn until 2000. Today, the Robert Pulte family is the proud owner of the beautiful Inn. While there have been many amenities added to the property, visitors arriving on the ferry to Mackinac Island find The Inn at Stonecliffe preserved with all of its history, grace and elegance. The Inn proudly celebrated its centennial year in 2004 and cherishes the rich traditions and ambiance that the property has brought to Mackinac Island for over 100 years.

Air charter service to the island is also available should you prefer to fly directly to the island or miss the last ferry. You can arrange a flight to the Island by contacting Great Lakes Air in St. Ignace (906) 643-7165. Taxi service from the Mackinac Island airport to the Inn can be arranged by contracting the Mackinac Island Carriage tour Company at (906) 847-3323.

The Stonecliffe Area Shuttle is owned and operated by the Mackinac Island Carriage Tour Company and makes stops at the head of each boat dock on Main Street. The daily shuttle schedule is determined solely by the Carriage Tour Company and may vary from our published schedule. Any changes or cancellations to the area shuttle schedule will be communicated, however, please inquire prior to the day of your arrival for the latest shuttle schedule.
