Midtown West Manhattan Chiropractor: Dr. Jason Piken After receiving an adjustment unlike any adjustment I have ever had before during a Chiropractic seminar, I vowed to learn Applied Kinesiology! Eight months before I graduated from NY Chiropractic College I was in a horrible car accident. I broke my spine in two levels and destroyed my left shoulder. After quickly recovering I spent the next two years dedicated to getting really healthy! I saw all the best Chiropractors, went to physical therapy consistently, was eating right and going to the gym as often as possible. It seemed I was doing all the right things to maintain a healthy lifestyle, but there was one thing that just would not get better, which was a pain in my mid lower back. It had escalated to the point that I was unable to fully rotate my lower body. At the time, I was a practicing Chiropractor. I attended an Applied Kinesiology seminar where they were describing a problem similar to mine. I was called up on stage and given an adjustment unlike any adjustment I had ever had before! Some blocks were put under my legs and my feet were yanked in a particular way. When I stood up, I felt an IMMEDIATE DIFFERENCE!! From then on, my back pain consistently got better and better. Dr. Jason Piken is a 1996 graduate of New York Chiropractic College . During Chiropractic College he became proficient in Gonstead (a system of analyzing the spine) and has since spent hundreds of seminar-hours broadening his technique skills to include, Chiropractic Biophysics and Applied Kinesiology. Since graduation Dr. Piken has also received the credential of becoming a Certified Nutrition Specialist. He is a member of the New York Chiropractic Council , the American College of Nutrition and participates in many volunteer community outreach programs.
