The Inner Spirit Yoga Center first opened in May of 2002 in Northport above The Chiropractic and Wellness Center on Fort Salonga Rd. Less than a year and half later the center outgrew its space. Now it resides at 24 Vernon Valley Road in East Northport and is owned by Roni Yaari. The center's mission is to create a strong sense of community both for the town as well as for each and every student that comes to experience what is offered. It is a place of peace, fun and kinship. De-stressing, stretching and relaxation are an integral part of our community experience as well as a friendly environment where you can meet new people. Every weekday the Center hosts Yoga and Bellydance classes with lots of weekend workshops and events. Once a year the center organizes a Hafla (party) where Bellydance students are welcome to perform. The Inner Spirit Yoga Center is committed to bringing people together though our classes. We have a Mommy & Me program where mothers can practice yoga and not worry about what to do with their children. They can bond with their children and other parents while they practice. We have other family-oriented programs like Family Yoga and Gentle Yoga for Women which includes Pre-natal women. Our bellydance classes are for people of all expereince levels. Don't be afraid to jump in and try it out. We also have other classes like Instructional Drumming, Tai Chi and Nite-Club Dancing which is an arobic workout designed for those who want to sweat. ...
