This process works, and our customer had experienced it repeatedly. The thing was, on this project, we were working with the IT group-in the past, we've always worked with business units at this client. IT departments have different priorities than business groups. Whereas business folks care about development time (minimizing it, that is), usability, and strategic advantage, an IT group may be more focused on fitting a solution into their support organization.

Innova Partners is an active participant in the Open Source technology community, sponsoring the Central Ohio Linux User's Group (COLUG), the Ohio Linux Fest , and the PHP Meetup. Our company blog is focused on business, technology, and Open Source culture.

I’ve been calling computer hardware support for many years. I’d venture a guess that I’ve called over 500 times, most of those to Dell, so I’m going to speak to my experience when calling them. I’ve been in charge of support for thousands of Dell machines, a wide spectrum from enterprise servers to desktops to notebooks. You’re probably chuckling to yourself “He’s called over 500 times? What kind of quality is that!”, but the truth is every manufacturer has defects.
