Companies and entrepreneurs can be considered for INNOVA's commercialization, start-up and business support services through the completion of an INNOVA Preliminary Application for Product Commercialization Services. INNOVA Business Support Services: The INNOVA team brings many years of experience in finance, accounting, marketing, public relations, technology and operations. This team brings its experience to bear on projects in a manner that can assist companies accepted into the INNOVA commercialization process with: INNOVA Technical Assistance Resources: For those West Virginia-based companies and entrepreneurs that qualify, INNOVA can also provide specific funding for vital legal, accounting and other business support services to be delivered by professionals within INNOVA's resource network. These may include: INNOVA Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Assistance: In late 2006, INNOVA received support from the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation to develop and deliver a program focused on delivering assistance and support to Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) applicants and participants. SBIR is a highly competitive program that encourages small businesses to explore their technological potential and provides the incentive to profit from its commercialization. The overall goal of INNOVA offering its SBIR program support is to increase the number of SBIR grants and funds coming into the state of West Virginia. Gateway into WVHTC Foundation Spectrum of Services: INNOVA can provide a gateway into the full spectrum of WVHTC Foundation services available through its many programs and opportunities.
