Innovative Engineering Services, LLC (IES) is a fully integrated engineering and design firm focused on innovation, sustainability and excellence.

ElderHouse, a nonprofit organization, was founded in 1977 to provide adult day care as an alternative to nursing homes. This project, which got under way in July after years of planning, added to the first floor more windows, the program-specific activity rooms, a modern kitchen, laundry area and a handicapped-accessible bathroom with walk-in shower. The expansion portion of the project entailed the addition of a second floor which will house administrative offices. A $500,000 state grant and $100,000 from the Norwalk Redevelopment Agency helped offset the cost of the project.

IES is an independent process management firm specializing in all aspects of construction and property maintenance. We are not affiliated with individual sub-contractors or equipment sales representatives. This allows us to utilize the latest technology and cost effective solutions to reduce project cost and optimize efficiency. All of our projects are open book, utilizing a comprehensive competitive bidding process based on a solid design collaborative between our in-house engineering staff and our clients.

We have cultivated experience in the healthcare field over the last twelve years, including complete engineering services for major city hospitals, outpatient facilities and clinics. Our staff expertise covers new facility design, phased renovation, One Day Surgery, ICUs, NICUs, ORs, Angio Units, Cath Labs, EP Labs, MRI Units, PET Scans, RF, imaging suites, anterooms/compounding areas and general patient/office facility design.
